Why waste time on Little when the Most is available?

I decided to let Henry Drummond’s words and thoughts express themselves here. Would you click one of the two links and listen/read for 10-15 minutes to the first 2 or 3 recorded Librivox readings of Drummond’s very widely read article/manuscript? He addressed a group of new missionaries who were soon to leave England for their mission stations across the world of the 1800’s:

I don’t agree with 100% of his ideas, but I do with most of his conclusions and encouragement! Particularly pay attention to his ideas about love’s priority in life and compare, as I am doing regularly, how my love for God and others stacks up against Jesus’ love.
If you will then pray 1 John 5:14-15 and Matthew 22:37-39 and Matthew 29:19-20, ask The Father to do in you and in our desperately needy nation what He wants done according to His own words from Jesus lips in the two Matthew passages. Pray His will; know He hears; watch and experience what He does – in us and then beyond. Jesus love and power are our only hope! I am convinced of that.
